Weak Bones
Yep - that's the best he could do!! So - on the Super Specialist rating scale - I'm giving him an Arthur (Arthur was The Tick's sidekick - he looked like a rabbit but was supposed to be a moth). Yes - I know my husband is into strange science fiction, fantasy, comic book, super hero stuff and some of it wears off - Sorry! The other possible rating is Waffleman! Either way - I'm terribly depressed! How is it possible that I have weak bones and none of the other Orthopedic (Bone) Drs thought of that!
OK - so the suggested treatment is to get a bone density test and hope it shows weak bones - yes I said hope for a bad outcome (this is according to Waffleman). - that way he will be able to get the Endocrinologist (yes - another Dr) to prescribe the bone generating drug that he thinks I need - without a fight! The drug in question will take 6-12 months to work!! Yippee!! In the meantime - I'm not supposed to overly stress it! Another Yippee!!
Oh - he did tell me something none of the other Docs have said - I actually have 2 stress fractures - how could I have gone for a year and not known that either????
I think it's time for some other avenue!! I'm almost done with PT for thr shoulder and that should free up time for other things!!
Thanks for listening!

What in God's name is going on here?? I agree with getting a bone density test. All women should do that. A second stress fracture?? WTF?? I think you just need a nite out with the girls and some good drinking!!!
Well you know why he is the specialist. I will admit I never thought you would have weak bones. I always thought of you as strong. let me get this straight you want weak bone so you can then get them strong in 6 to 12 months but in theory they may not heal at all without them. Man that sucks so bad. I swear I going to start breaking skulls if they do not fix my Reen.
Bears.
